PHILOSOPHY


The choice to enter counseling can be both profound and nerve-racking. It is normal to feel some anxious feelings about what the therapeutic process will be like; whether it will "work", what will be asked of you, or whether it will be worth it. The most significant predictor a successful counseling is the feeling that you fit well with the counselor, and the feeling that you are accepted as you are.

My goal is to work with my clients to feel better, faster. I strive to provide evidenced-based interventions that allow you to find relief in ways that are sustainable after counseling is over. I frequently incorporate yoga interventions, breathing, and mind-body work to help support long-term change.

Many counselors want to see you long term. My goal is to help you find relief so that you can move on with your life. If you feel you need to keep coming, that's fine, too! Sessions generally last 50 minutes in duration, but are scheduled based on the frequency you need to feel supported and to find relief.
